UpEasyCrew LLC builds software for shipping. Its first product, UpEasy, is a CRM for crewing agencies, written by a founder with fourteen years in crewing — nine of them running her own agency, all vessel types.

Why a crewing person writes software

The week lost answering a principal is paper, not judgement

A principal writes on Monday: 2nd Engineer, gas carrier, joining on the 14th. The agency answers on Thursday of the following week. Those nine days were not spent deciding whether the seafarer is any good. They were spent finding out whether the papers are in order, and then finding the papers.

That is the part of crewing we write software for. UpEasy keeps one live record per seafarer that already knows what the rank and the vessel type require and what expires when, so the answer can go out the same day.

It is not another AI employee that promises to take the work off the office. The reader proposes a field, the agency's staff confirm it, the principal decides on one page. Each person keeps their own job, with the record in front of them.

Not a crewing agency

We do not place crew. We never approach an agency's seafarers or its principals, and the agreement with each agency says so.

Not a marketplace

There is no job board, no shared candidate pool and no search across agencies. An agency's seafarers stay that agency's.

Not an AI employee

Nothing here promises to take the work off an office. The reader proposes, the staff confirm, the principal decides.
